There’s a story in Exodus about a man named Moses. I have read the story a dozen times before but something new jumped out to me. Maybe be wise of where I am, doing what I am doing, etc.

God asked Moses to go and tell Pharaoh to let His people go even though He knew He would harden Pharaoh’s heart.

God knows the outcome to eat situation. He knows how I will respond, how someone else will respond. He knows if something will change or there will be healing. Sometimes Change and healing and good comes as a result of our obedience and intercession and sometimes nothing changes. Sometimes hearts are fixed when we want the. To be and pain remains.

It’s interesting to me that He knows that. It all reminds me that it is all about the journey anyway. Not the result. He doesn’t need our obedience to move and He doesn’t need our prayers to know. He simply invites us into the story.

It all reminds me that He cares more to complete the good work He started in me than to give me what I think I need.

At the end of the day I can trust that He still knows what He is doing no matter how much my heart hurts or doesn’t understand or sometimes even want to. I can choose to remember His goodness and wait.
