This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare…
1 Timothy 1:18
i love the idea of remembering. i love it. it can be used against ourselves but it is so great when we remember the good of the Lord. the prophecies given. the encouraging words spoken.
i have learned to always record every (though sometimes i don’t) prayer prayed over me. i have learned to write down immediately the kind words spoken. i have learned to transcribed the revelations i hear God give.
there is a beauty to remembering. the Lord uses our brothers and sisters to speak to us, encourage us, build us up by the gift of prophecy. we must remember the encouragement or our hearts grow hard to sin like Hebrews talks about.
this advent season of longing. desiring the Lord to come. it has been fun to remember His promises. to remember His goodness and kindness and gentleness. what an amazing God we serve! even on the most difficult of days, “better is one day in [His] courts than a thousand elsewhere”.
